MIKE TYSON IN TRAINING FOR RETURN TO THE RING 14 YEARS AFTER RETIREMENT

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has revealed he’s preparing to make a comeback. The most feared fighter in boxing history hung up his gloves in 2006 after suffering consecutive defeats Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.

Tyson made a clean break from the sweet science, removing himself completely from the sport due to his ultra-competitive side.

In recent years, the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ even went as far as limiting his fitness to the bare minimum in order not to ignite a burning desire to return to the ring.

The itch, however, has seemingly taken hold of ‘Iron Mike’, who has resumed training at the ripe old age of 53 in the hope of taking part in some exhibition fights to raise money for charity.

During an Instagram Live broadcast with TI, Tyson said: “I’ve been hitting the mitts for the last week.

“That’s been tough, my body is really jacked up and really sore from hitting the mitts. I’ve been working out, I’ve been trying to get in the ring, I think I’m going to box some exhibitions and get in shape. I want to go to the gym and get in shape to be able to box for some charities and stuff. Some charity exhibitions make some money, help some homeless and drug-affected motherf****** like me.”
