KID INK IN THREE WORDS:
Hungry. Creative. A fan of the culture.
WHAT KEEPS YOU GOING AFTER SELLING OVER A MILLION HITS?
I don't do and didn't start music just to sell million of records and that's it. I just wanted to do music because it's something that I love and felt that was my purpose. As long as it paid my bills, my food, and enabled me to continue with music, I was happy. I don't think selling certain amount of records is my "limit". I try to keep myself humble and thinking about everyday lives, there is still so much I have to do. Just gotta keep being motivated and hungry.
YOU JUST RELEASED A SONG FT. SAWEETIE AND LIL WAYNE. WHY THEM?
She was at the top of the list as someone I was drawn to, she's lyrically dope and I feel like she would be a good fit. I don't work with just anybody. The same goes to Lil Wayne. I felt like he would compliment the record. He really went all way out for it and did it.
LEGENDS IN TODAY'S MUSIC INDUSTRY?
Nipsey Hussle, RIP the great. Also Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Jay Z, Beyonce, Rihanna. I'm still waiting on what Rihanna does with her new album. I know she's about to come up with something crazy(yyyy). You know she's dope af.
TOP COUNTRY TO PERFORM IN EUROPE?
Definitely Germany. They showed me huge love from the first show. Done there the biggest venues by myself. It's always lit there. Hamburg, Berlin. But I've been around Germany for the last five years and always love coming back.
GUCCI OR LOUIS VUTTION?
APPLE MUSIC, SPOTIFY, OR TIDAL?
STILL OR SPARKLING WATER?
COLD OR ROOM TEMPERATURE?
FAVOURITE BRAND AT THE MOMENT?I just wear what's hot right now. When it comes to designers, it's just getting boring, everyone has the item, it's washed out, too available, too much. I want exclusive.
PRADA OR FENDI?
THE MOST EXPENSIVE ITEM YOU'VE EVER BOUGHT?
Jewellery. My first chain, it was $100,000. That's my baby. Then when it comes to clothing the Yeezy's 2's, the Nike ones, think around $35,000? Now they're worth like $5000 (laughs). Jackets are usually around $7000-10,000.
KID INK IN 2019 PLANS?
Keep working on my craft, staying true to myself, keep putting out good music. You know, just being better and growing.
