NIKE PULLS ALL KOBE BRYANT PRODUCTS FROM ITS ONLINE STORE
Nike has reportedly pulled all Kobe Bryant products from its online store and replaced them with a tribute page. NY Post asserts the move, if true, is likely to deter resellers from profiting after his sudden death on Sunday. “Kobe was one of the greatest athletes of his generation and has had an immeasurable impact on the world of sport and the community of basketball,” Nike’s tribute page reads. “He was a beloved member of the Nike family. We will miss him greatly. Mamba forever.” Nike hasn’t released an official statement about pulling Kobe Bryant’s products, nor do we know when they will return. According to Complex, Foot Locker has also been asked to return Kobe product to Nike, but this information is unconfirmed. A new post via Jacques Slade suggests that Nike did not pull product, but rather it all sold out. This is also unconfirmed. Stay tuned for updates.
