QUENTIN TARANTINO REVEALS 'KILL BILL VOL. 3' IS POSSIBLE TO COME
While rumors of his retirement are making rounds on the internet, Quentin Tarantino is giving fans hope of a Kill Bill Vol. 3. During an interview with Andy Cohen Live on SiriusXM, the decorated filmmaker admitted the possibility of a third installment after having dinner with Kill Bill lead Uma Thurman. “I do have an idea of what I would do. That was the whole thing, conquering that concept of what’s happened to the bride since then and what do I want to do,” he explained to host Andy Cohen. “Because I wouldn’t want to just come up with some cockamamie adventure. She doesn’t deserve that. The Bride has fought long and hard and now I have an idea that could actually be interesting.” While the news might excite fans of Beatrix Kiddo, Tarantino made sure to note that it’s not going to happen soon — if it does happen at all. “I wouldn’t do it for a little bit. It would be like, at least three years from now or something like that but look, it is definitely in the cards.” The director mentioned his solid plans for the foreseeable future after Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that includes a stage play and a five-episode TV series, saying that these projects will keep him booked for the next three years and his 10th feature film will only begin its process then. Kill Bill follows the story of the Bride/Beatrix Kiddo (Uma Thurman), an ex-assassin who seeks revenge on her former group, the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad (Lucy Liu, Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah and Vivica A. Fox), and their leader Bill (David Carradine) after they attempt to kill her, her fiancé and her unborn child. Vol. 1 sees the Bride’s origin story and her face-off against O-Ren Ishii (Liu) and Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox), while Vol. 2 follows her journey to defeat remaining members Budd (Madsen) and Elle Driver (Hannah), along with exacting revenge against Bill.
