YouTube is set to pledge $100 million USD fund, dedicated to black creators and artists over the upcoming years. They want to help “amplify” their voices and perspectives.
The company has been adjusting their plans and making efforts to improve it’s policies. The CEO Susan Wojcicki stated “we’re taking this moment to examine how our policies can work for everyone – but especially for Black community”.
It has not been discussed how the new funds will be spent and is yet to be disclosed. As of now, the platform plans to give more freedom and choices to features such as live stream for music fund-raising event.
